An investigator from the prosecutor's office of the Karshinsky district of the Kashkadarya region is suspected of receiving a bribe in the amount of 5000 dollars. This information was confirmed to "Gazeta.uz" by the press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan, Khayot Shamsutdinov.
He was detained while receiving the money on April 8 at 16:10 during an operational event conducted by the employees of the Kashkadarya regional office of the State Security Service and the regional prosecutor's office.
It is reported that he promised to help the accused in a criminal case to mitigate the punishment.
A criminal case has been initiated, and the suspect has been detained in accordance with legal procedures. The investigation is ongoing.
