President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree awarding the Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Zainiddin Nizamkhodjaev, the honorary title of "Merited Mentor of the Youth of the Republic of Uzbekistan" on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
On Tuesday, the head of state presented Zainiddin Nizamkhodjaev with the insignia of this title. The award was given in recognition of his long and fruitful work in the representative bodies of state power and the healthcare system of the country, significant contributions to improving the national electoral system in line with internationally recognized standards, successful implementation of democratic reforms, protection of constitutional rights of citizens, valuable contribution to the training of highly qualified personnel, and nurturing the young generation in the spirit of love and devotion to the Motherland.
Zainiddin Nizamkhodjaev, born in 1954, is a Doctor of Medical Sciences and a professor. He has been heading the Central Election Commission since February 2021, previously serving as the Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis since January 2020. In 2014, he was awarded the title of "Hero of Uzbekistan."
