President Shavkat Mirziyoyev Celebrates Navruz Festival in Uzbekistan

President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, spoke at a festive event dedicated to the Navruz holiday at the Humo Arena palace in Tashkent on Thursday. The event was originally planned to take place at the "Yangi Uzbekiston" park but was relocated due to weather conditions.

Mirziyoyev emphasized the positive transformations taking place in the country, including the construction of modern enterprises, comfortable homes, social and cultural facilities, roads and bridges, squares, and gardens. He highlighted the importance of respecting human dignity, ensuring social protection, and supporting vulnerable groups in society.

The President underscored the significance of Navruz in promoting environmental conservation and the country's efforts towards this noble goal. He praised the achievements of the youth in various fields, particularly in sports, and commended chess grandmaster Nodirbek Abdusattorov for his recent successes.

Mirziyoyev emphasized the role of entrepreneurship in the country's economy and social life, promising to create more opportunities for business development. Programs supporting entrepreneurship and self-employment aim to make Uzbekistan one of the most favorable and attractive countries for business.

The President's main goal is the efficient use of household lands, providing owners with necessary resources, assisting in marketing products, establishing mini-manufacturing in households, expanding services, and improving the standard of living. Mirziyoyev highlighted the reduction of poverty levels in Uzbekistan from 17% to 11% in the past two years and expressed the potential for further improvement.

He emphasized that entrepreneurship, especially working on one's land, not only improves physical and spiritual well-being but also instills self-reliance and resilience, particularly in the youth. Mirziyoyev praised the role of mahallas as a unique institution of civil society and pledged continuous support for active individuals.

In a world facing escalating tensions, Navruz serves the noble purpose of strengthening peace and cooperation among nations, as stated by the President. The celebration of Navruz reflects the unity and cultural richness of Uzbekistan, underlining the country's commitment to progress and harmony.
