President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, participated in an iftar during his visit to Namangan on March 25th, as reported by the presidential press service. The event was attended by elders not only from Namangan but also from Fergana and Andijan regions.

Quoting Alisher Navoi and referring to the principle of "Uzbekistan as a social state" enshrined in the updated Constitution, President Mirziyoyev emphasized the essence of Islamic values of humanity and mercy, stressing the importance of treating others as one would wish to be treated.
