In a recent development, the leadership of the Ministry of Energy in Uzbekistan has undergone significant changes. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the resolutions, as announced by the Ministry's press service.

Bahrom Mamatmuratovich Mansurov, who had been heading the Agency for the Development of Atomic Energy ("Uzatom") since August 2023, has stepped down from his position due to transitioning to another role.

Azim Israilovich Akhmedkhadjaev, who has been serving as the First Deputy Minister of Energy since August 2021, has now been appointed as the new director of "Uzatom," assuming a dual role.

Another significant appointment is that of Bakhtiyor Rustamovich Mamatkarimov as the new First Deputy Minister of Energy. Previously, he held positions such as the hokim of the Andijan district, deputy chairman of the board of "Uztransgaz" for finance and marketing, and deputy head of "Uzlitineftegaz" for economics and finance.

Additionally, Azizkhudja Ochilovich Kobilov has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Energy. Prior to this role, he served as an advisor and deputy minister of mining and geology, and previously worked in the Presidential Administration.
