The press service of the regional administration announced the appointment of Sherzod Abdimuratovich Rajabov as the First Deputy Hokim of Surkhandarya Region, overseeing financial and economic matters as well as poverty alleviation. He succeeds Anvar Oripov, who was relieved of his duties due to transitioning to a different role.
Born in 1984, Sherzod Rajabov graduated from Termez State University in 2007 and Tashkent State Economic University in 2014, specializing in economics. He has held various positions within the Surkhandarya Region administration, including department chief, deputy director of the Grape and Wine Development Agency, and deputy director of the Alcohol and Tobacco Market Regulation Agency and Wine Development.
Prior to his current appointment, starting in 2023, he served as the Hokim of Kyzylkum District. Rajabov's extensive experience and educational background make him well-equipped to tackle the financial challenges and poverty issues facing the region.
