President of Uzbekistan Meets Foreign Delegations for Central Asia-Arab States Cooperation Talks

President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, welcomed foreign delegates in Tashkent for the meeting of foreign ministers from the Central Asia - Gulf Cooperation Council dialogue. This marks the second meeting of foreign ministers in this format.

During discussions with the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, they focused on expanding bilateral cooperation, especially in trade, investment, and transportation sectors.

President Mirziyoyev highlighted the intensive political dialogue, dynamic growth in mutual trade and investments, and announced that Qatar Culture Week will take place in Uzbekistan in October. The importance of advancing joint investment projects and creating effective mechanisms for financial support was emphasized.

Meetings with Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, and Turkmenistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Rashid Meredov, also took place. Discussions included enhancing Uzbek-Saudi relations, cooperation in various sectors, and preparations for upcoming high-level meetings.

Additionally, talks with Oman's Foreign Minister, Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, and Kuwait's Foreign Minister, Abdullah Al Yahya, focused on expanding cooperation in economic, investment, and cultural fields. The need for increased political consultations, government commissions, business forums, and exhibitions was highlighted to strengthen ties between the countries.
