Uzbekistan President to Visit Tajikistan for State Visit

President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is set to visit Tajikistan on April 18-19 for a state visit, as announced by the press service of the Uzbek state leader. During his time in Dushanbe, he will hold talks with President Emomali Rahmon, engage in bilateral meetings, and participate in joint events.

The agenda includes discussions on further developing and strengthening the Uzbek-Tajik relations of friendship, good neighborliness, strategic partnership, and alliance. Special attention will be given to advancing cooperation projects in trade, industry, agriculture, energy, transport, and other sectors. Additionally, the expansion of interregional contacts, cultural-humanitarian exchanges, and tourism will be addressed.

The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan will also exchange views on current international and regional issues. A substantial package of bilateral documents is expected to be adopted following the summit.
