Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister meets UK's Secretary for Foreign Affairs

On April 23rd, Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bahodir Saidov met with the UK's Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth, and Development David Cameron, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs press service. The meeting was productive, focusing on strengthening relations in all areas, particularly on enhancing economic ties.

Saidov emphasized the British side's readiness to promote business connections and deepen cooperation in education. Following the meeting, both parties signed a Declaration of Comprehensive Cooperation and a Memorandum of Understanding in regional and international relations and infrastructure.

In a recent column published by "Gazeta.uz," Cameron listed priority areas to elevate cooperation to a new level, including expanding collaboration in economic development and education, as well as enhancing the independence of regional countries. Cameron's visit to Tashkent is part of an official tour of all five Central Asian states and Mongolia. He has already visited Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, meeting with Presidents Emomali Rahmon and Sadyr Japarov.
