Tashkent Mayor Allocates 7.92 Billion UZS for Flower Planting Expenses

The Mayor of Tashkent, Shavkat Umurzakov, signed a decision on April 22 to allocate 7.92 billion Uzbekistani som for expenses related to the purchase and planting of flower seedlings. This decision comes after the City Council approved the allocation of 12 billion UZS for seasonal flower planting in September 2023. The city administration's press service explained that the funds will be allocated as needed, with a further 5 billion UZS earmarked for this purpose in December.

On January 26, the City Council made a decision to fully implement the resolutions adopted in 2023. The new decision specifies that the money will be directed to specialized units and district branches of the Main Department of Improvement from the local budget reserve fund. Of the allocated amount, 3.2 billion UZS will go to the Specialized Management for the repair of irrigation systems and landscaping objects, 1.5 billion UZS to the Specialized Management for the improvement of central squares, and 500 million UZS to the Specialized Management for the maintenance of government facilities. The remaining 2.72 billion UZS will be distributed among district management units for improvement.
