Each participant and veteran of the Second World War in Uzbekistan will receive a one-time cash reward of 20 million soums. This is provided for by the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, signed on April 16 and announced recently.
The decree is dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Honor, which is celebrated in Uzbekistan on May 9, as well as the 79th anniversary of the Victory over fascism in the war of 1941-1945.
Last year, the reward amount for war participants and veterans was 18 million soums. In 2022 - 15 million soums, in 2021 - 12 million soums, in 2020 - 10 million soums, in 2019 - 7.5 million soums, in 2018 - 5 million soums, and in 2017 - 2 million soums.
