Nurilla Abdurakhmanov has been appointed as the Hokim (head) of the Bektemir district in Tashkent, as reported by the press service of the capital's administration. His candidacy was approved during a session of the district's council of people's deputies on Monday.
Prior to his appointment, Nurilla Abdurakhmanov worked as an assistant to the Hokim, focusing on entrepreneurship development, employment, and poverty reduction in the "Gavkhar" mahalla of the Chilanzar district. Born in 1981, he holds a higher education degree and has previously held various responsible positions in the hokimiyats of Mirabad, Chilanzar, and Yakkasaray districts.
The previous Hokim of the district, Tapil Makhmadziyayev, was relieved of his duties at the beginning of February. Earlier, the President instructed the Prime Minister to assess several district heads in the capital, including Makhmadziyayev, for their compliance with their positions.
