On March 14th, the newly appointed ambassador of Uzbekistan to Singapore, Alisher Kayumov, arrived in the country, as reported by IA "Dunyo".
Prior to this appointment, he served as a counselor at the Uzbekistan Embassy in Germany.
Alisher Kayumov, 54 years old, is a graduate of the Tashkent State University (National University of Uzbekistan). He has worked for many years in the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations (Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade), serving as a trade and economic advisor at the embassy in Germany.
As a counselor at the embassy, he headed the diplomatic mission in Austria and at international organizations in Vienna. He has experience working in the private sector, including abroad. Since 2017, he has been a counselor at the Uzbekistan Embassy in Berlin.
Alisher Kayumov has replaced Kahramon Shakirov in Singapore, who was accredited as the ambassador of Uzbekistan to Singapore (2018-2024) and concurrently to Australia (2022-2024) with residence in Singapore.
