Uzbek President Congratulates Russian President Putin on Re-election Victory

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on his "convincing victory" in the recent elections. The high voter turnout and results of the election showcased the population's unwavering trust and support for Putin's political course and socio-economic reform program. Mirziyoyev wished Putin good health, prosperity, and success in his state activities, and the Russian people peace and prosperity.

The presidential election in Russia took place from March 15 to 17, with Vladimir Putin, who has been president since 2000, being re-elected for a fifth term.

According to the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation (based on 99.67% of processed ballots), Vladimir Putin received 87.32% of the votes, Nikolai Kharitonov from the Communist Party - 4.3%, Vladislav Davankov from the "New People" party - 3.82%, and Leonid Slutsky from the LDPR - 3.2%.
