In Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, court hearings are ongoing in the case of Kuandyk Bishimbayev. Today, on April 15th, his cousin, Bakhytzhan Bayzhanov, did not plead guilty to the charges of failure to report a crime and concealing it.

Judge Aizhan Kulbayeva asked Bakhytzhan Bayzhanov to state his position regarding the accusations. However, the defendant denied any wrongdoing in failing to report the particularly serious crime.

"No, because I didn't know, then I informed the emergency services. I do not admit guilt. As soon as I found out, I reported it," stated Bakhytzhan Bayzhanov.

He also denied any involvement in concealing the crime.

"I did not conceal anything because, according to the expertise, she died between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM, and I deleted the record at 1:30 PM, which means before her death," claimed Bakhytzhan Bayzhanov.

It is worth noting that Bakhytzhan Bayzhanov is the cousin of Kuandyk Bishimbayev, the director of the "Gastrocenter," where, according to the allegations, the murder of Saltanat Nukenova took place. He is accused of concealing and failure to report a crime.

Earlier, it was reported that one of the jurors in Kuandyk Bishimbayev's case was replaced during the trial.
