In September 2023, residents of Kazakhstan were shocked by a triple murder in the Almaty region. The suspect was arrested a few days later. The court sentenced him to life imprisonment.
The case against the accused of murdering a woman and her two children, intentionally setting their house on fire to conceal the crime, and theft of property was heard in the Specialized Inter-District Court for Criminal Cases of the Almaty Region.
The Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan's press service stated, "The court found the defendant guilty of the crimes attributed to him and sentenced him to life imprisonment. The court's verdict has not yet entered into legal force."
It was established by the court that the defendant, in a state of alcohol intoxication, used a knife to commit the murder of his partner and her two underage children. He then locked the door from the outside and fled. The next day, he returned to the crime scene, stole 40,000 tenge belonging to the victim, and set their house on fire to cover up the murder.
The Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan's press service emphasized, "The defendant's guilt is fully proven by the case materials: testimonies of witnesses, expert conclusions, and other evidence confirmed and examined in court."
The triple murder in the Almaty region took place on September 14, 2023. At 23:24, the police received information that in one of the houses in the village of Ashchibulak, the bodies of a woman and her two underage children were found after a fire with signs of violent death. The suspect was apprehended in Almaty.
