Transnational Drug Group in Kyrgyzstan Dismantled, 12 Arrested, Drug Labs Destroyed

A transnational drug group that established a sustainable channel for the supply and sale of drugs from foreign countries to Kyrgyzstan has been eliminated, as reported by the press service of the State Customs Service.

According to the information provided, 11 Kyrgyz citizens and 1 Russian national have been detained, with six of them being members of the organized criminal drug group and placed in pre-trial detention in the pretrial detention center of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek.

The three drug laboratories in Bishkek and the Chui region organized by them have been liquidated, an international drug supply channel to Kyrgyzstan has been cut off, and the activity of the online store Gangzilla selling organic drugs has been stopped, stated the State Customs Service.

The founder and curator of the online store have been apprehended. Over 10 kilograms of marijuana ("buds"), 75 bottles of hashish oil, 38 bushes of hybrid hemp grown hydroponically, as well as various items and technical equipment used in drug laboratories and the online store, have been seized.

The estimated value of the confiscated drugs upon their sale would amount to 50 million soms, according to preliminary calculations.
