In Astana, police officers detained eight criminals in just one day, with four of them being wanted in CIS countries. According to the regional police department's press service, a large-scale operation called "Search" is being conducted in the city from April 24th to 25th, 2024.

On the first day, the capital's police officers identified and apprehended eight criminals, four of whom were wanted in CIS countries. Additionally, they located a missing person and identified an unidentified body. The police also highlighted the positive experience of collaborating with colleagues from CIS countries.

It was specified that officers from the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs detained a criminal wanted internationally since 2015 for fraud in Novosibirsk. The individual had deceived citizens by advertising discounted car deliveries from the US and Europe on the "Kolesa KZ" website, swindling over 40 million tenge. The case is currently being considered for transfer according to the Minsk Convention.

Previously, it was reported that a Kazakhstani citizen wanted internationally was arrested in Kyrgyzstan.
