In Semey, the Specialized Interdistrict Court for Criminal Cases sentenced a pedophile to life imprisonment.

According to the case materials, the defendant, taking advantage of the helpless state of the minor victim, committed violent acts of a sexual nature, as reported by the Telegram channel Abainewskz.

The man did not admit guilt, but his actions were proven by the materials of the criminal case, forensic medical examination reports, testimonies of the victim, his representatives, and witnesses, noted the court.

As a result, the Specialized Interdistrict Court for Criminal Cases found him guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment. Additionally, he was permanently banned from holding teaching positions and positions related to working with minors.

The condemned's appeal did not help, and the verdict remained unchanged. He will serve his sentence in a high-security penal institution.

On April 15, Tokayev signed the law "On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Ensuring Women's Rights and Children's Safety." One of the provisions is to increase the accountability for any manifestations of violence against women and children.
