A Kazakhstani citizen has been detained on suspicion of committing a murder in London, United Kingdom.
According to a correspondent from Kazinform in London, citing the local police, on May 11th, Baimolda Baybit, born on December 30, 1986, was accused of the murder on Tuesday, May 7th. He appeared before the Thames Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, May 8th.
The incident occurred after a police call to an address in one of the London districts around 9:00 pm on Monday, where a 42-year-old man was found with stab wounds that proved to be fatal.
Baybit and a 33-year-old woman were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. Baybit was charged with the aforementioned offense. The 33-year-old woman was released on bail pending further investigation, according to the London police.
Sources from Kazinform stated that Baimolda Baybit arrived in the UK from Kazakhstan in May 2023 on a seasonal work visa.
Previously, there was another reported murder. On April 27th, it was revealed that the police had arrested a suspect in the murder of a teacher.
