Verdict Issued in Shymkent School Embezzlement Case, Deputy Receives Prison Sentence

In Shymkent, a verdict was handed down to the director, his deputy, and the accountant of school No. 44.

According to Otyrar.kz on May 16th, the main legal proceedings on the embezzlement of 48 million tenge in a school in Shymkent have concluded.

The court's verdict imposed a fine of 6.9 million tenge on the director, sentenced his deputy to seven years of imprisonment, and the accountant to eight years of imprisonment. They were found guilty of misappropriating and embezzling funds allocated to the teachers' salary fund.

The city's anti-corruption department noted that the judicial process was conducted in an open manner to eradicate corruption. The management of the city's schools participated in the process, and approximately 650 school employees monitored the proceedings online.
