In Kazakhstan, the Unified National Testing (ENT) has commenced and will run until March 30th. Currently, 110,000 individuals have applied to participate.

According to the Ministry of Education, registration will continue until March 10th on the National Testing Center's website or through the UTO application.

Participants in the March ENT include individuals enrolled in universities for full-time paid education, graduates of previous years and colleges, individuals of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of Kazakhstan, as well as students in the final year of high school aiming for university enrollment on a paid basis by choice, as stated by the Ministry of Education.

During ENT registration, test-takers can choose the location, date, and time of the exam themselves.

The number of subjects in ENT remains the same: three compulsory and two elective. However, the number of questions in the compulsory subjects of "Reading Literacy" and "Mathematical Literacy" has been reduced by five questions. The number of questions in elective subjects has increased to 40.

It is important to note that in elective subjects, five matching questions have been added. Thus, the total number of questions in ENT-2024 remains unchanged at 120, including 20 questions on "History of Kazakhstan," 10 questions on "Reading Literacy," 10 questions on "Mathematical Literacy," and 40 questions on two elective subjects. The maximum score also remains unchanged at 140 points, as highlighted by the ministry.

The testing time is 4 hours (240 minutes). Children with special educational needs will have an additional 40 minutes.

The January ENT concluded on February 10th, with approximately 134,000 participants. Among them, 76.4% of applicants took the test in Kazakh, 23.5% in Russian, and 83 individuals in English. Around 77.5% of applicants reached the threshold score. The average score was 69 points, with a maximum of 137. A total of 72 applicants scored over 130 points.
