The Cultural Development Fund and the Cultural Heritage Agency of Uzbekistan have announced the inclusion of mosaics in the registry of cultural objects protected by the state. The Foundation has been working on a project to preserve mosaics and murals since 2021, leading to the inclusion of 154 mosaic compositions in the national heritage list.
The Scientific and Expert Council of the Cultural Heritage Agency preliminarily reviewed 183 samples of existing mosaics recommended for addition to the "National List" of cultural heritage real estate objects. This recognition will enhance tourism potential, benefiting both residents and tourists.
The mosaics included in the list will be registered in the state cadastre, emphasizing their cultural value in the cadastral documents. Most of the listed mosaics are located in Tashkent, with additional pieces from various regions of Uzbekistan.
Moreover, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have mutually agreed to simplify the procedures for citizens' stay, fostering closer ties between the two nations.
