Today, on April 5th, the chairman of the board of NC KazMunayGas (KMG) Magzum Mirzagaliyev, the akim of the Kyzylorda region Nurlibek Nalibaev, and the Vice Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Nurken Sharbiev participated in planting saxaul trees on the dried bottom of the Aral Sea.
"Saxaul is rightfully considered one of the symbols of Kazakhstan. For our people, this plant has long symbolized the ability to overcome obstacles and revive life. We are actively involved in greening the regions where we operate. KMG has taken on the commitment to plant over 4 million saxaul seedlings on a 15 thousand hectare area on the dried bottom of the Aral Sea. This way, our company is enhancing its contribution to the green economy and nature preservation for future generations, demonstrating our commitment to sustainable development," noted Magzum Mirzagaliyev.
