International Forum of Young Scientists Kicks Off at Astana Medical University

Today, the International Forum of Young Scientists has commenced at the Astana Medical University. The event brings together young scientists from universities and research institutions in Kazakhstan and abroad. The forum, dedicated to the Day of Science Workers in Kazakhstan, aims to create a platform for dialogue and exchange of experience among prominent figures in modern medical education and science.

Guests and participants of the forum include representatives from 14 of the country's largest universities, as well as young foreign scientists from CIS countries, Europe, and Asia. Prior to the forum, a competition was held among young scientists and students to participate in the event. Over 400 applications were submitted, and more than 100 top scientific reports were selected by the competition committee in various fields of medicine.

The best presentations at the forum's closing ceremony will be awarded with prizes, certificates, and financial incentives. An exhibition was organized as part of the forum, where young scientists showcased their projects. The opening ceremony was attended by the First Vice Minister of Health of Kazakhstan, Timur Sultangaziev, who emphasized the importance of creating conditions for the development of intellectual potential among the youth in the field of knowledge society.

The Chairman of the Board and Rector of Astana Medical University, Kamalzhan Nadyrov, highlighted the university's transformation into a research university and the initiatives taken to support scientific and innovative activities. The forum is supported by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Higher Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Science Fund, major medical companies, and other business structures.

The forum of young scientists is the first major event in 2024, held as part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Astana Medical University in the fall of 2024. The university places great emphasis on the development of medical science and collaboration in this field, as reflected in its development strategy for the next three years. The event promises to be a significant contribution to the further development of scientific, technical, and innovative cooperation among young scientists of the Astana Medical University and all forum participants.
