Stories of rescue and assistance to those affected by floods have circulated on social media, touching the hearts of many. Kazakhstan citizens are leaving their families, homes, and jobs to contribute to the relief efforts and support their people in this challenging time.

The acts of children who couldn't ignore the disaster are particularly inspiring. Correspondents spoke with compassionate citizens to learn about the ongoing battle against the elements.

One such hero, strongman Sergey Tsyruilnikov, returned from the US to Kazakhstan to provide aid to his fellow citizens. He gathered humanitarian aid and headed to the flooded city of Uralsk to assist the affected residents. Alongside famous athletes and volunteers, they worked tirelessly to build dams and evacuate people and animals.

The touching story of Samat, a man from the flooded village of Ekpetal, was captured by videographer Ernar Almabek. Samat shared his harrowing experience of witnessing his village being submerged and the efforts to save his family and animals.

Children from Kentau also joined the relief efforts, donating their savings to help the flood victims. Their contributions, along with other humanitarian aid, were delivered to Kulsary, where they were gratefully received and preserved as a memory of the young Kazakhstani's kindness.

Athletes, including local basketball players, also joined the fight against the floods, quickly building sandbag walls to protect the affected areas. Villagers in Alga Makhambet district set up yurts for the displaced and continue to provide support in various ways.

The outpouring of support from across the country has been remarkable. Volunteers, including Olga Arinbasarova, have gathered and sent essential supplies to the affected regions, while residents of Kokshetau and Atirau have also rallied to aid those in need.

The efforts of individuals, communities, and authorities have led to the successful evacuation and rescue of thousands of Kazakhstani citizens and animals. Despite the challenges, the spirit of unity and resilience shines through as the nation continues to battle the floods and work towards recovery.
