Starting from April 1st, pensioners and people with disabilities will be able to ride public transportation for free in Aktobe. The introduction of these new benefits was announced by the head of the region, Askhat Shakharov, during the tenth session of the regional maslikhat. He highlighted the possibility of free bus rides for individuals with disabilities and pensioners in Aktobe.

Currently, individuals equivalent to Great Patriotic War veterans and those with first and second group disabilities can already ride city routes for free. Additionally, pensioners are entitled to a 50% discount on fares, a benefit that has been in effect since September 2021.

Shakharov also revealed plans to build a Patriotism Center in Aktobe by 2025 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Aliya Moldagulova's birth. He emphasized the goal of improving the well-being of the region's residents and ensuring a comfortable life for the people. Budget allocations will be utilized for various projects including the construction of 14 schools, new healthcare facilities, road repairs, and the ongoing gasification of villages. Recently, the city's bus fleet was expanded with 30 new buses, with an additional 65 buses expected to be added.

Future plans include the organization of free public transportation for people with disabilities and pensioners, with a decision expected to be made at the next session. Furthermore, the upcoming year will witness the inauguration of the Patriotism Center dedicated to Aliya Moldagulova, located near her monument.
