A suspect has been detained in connection with a kidnapping case, as reported by the press service of the Bishkek City Police Department. According to the information provided, on December 18th of last year, a report was filed at the Leninsky District Police Department in the capital by A.K., requesting action against unknown individuals.
The incident took place on October 23, 2023, at the intersection of Chui Avenue and Molodoy Gvardii Boulevard, where the victim was forced into a Honda Fit vehicle against their will, bound, and taken in an unknown direction. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 165 "Kidnapping" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
One of the suspects has been apprehended, identified as Zh.Z., born in 1995, and placed in pre-trial detention at the Bishkek City Police Department. Currently, investigative and operational-search measures are being conducted to locate and detain other individuals involved in the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
