Alleged Inciter of Mass Unrest Detained in Alamedin District

A citizen has been detained in the Alamedin district on suspicion of inciting mass unrest, as reported by the press service of the Chui region police department.

According to the authorities, during monitoring of social media, it was discovered that a public activist from the Alamedin district, T.A., was spreading materials on Facebook encouraging and provoking the public to engage in mass unrest.

An expert examination concluded that the materials contained incitement to mass protest actions, mass disorder, and a change of government.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 37-278 "Attempt to Mass Unrest" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The identity and whereabouts of T.A., born in 1981, have been established. He has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. The investigation is ongoing.

It is worth noting that the initials T.A. correspond to the former Deputy Chairman of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service, Akzholtoi Tukunov.
