Members of a Criminal Group Extorted $500,000 and 1 Million Som from Local Government Officials in Osh Region

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, investigators have arrested two members of a criminal group on suspicion of extortion. They are registered as members of the criminal group led by Kamchi Kolbaev. A criminal case has been initiated based on a complaint filed by the heads of local self-government bodies in the Osh region regarding the extortion of a large sum of money.

The detained individuals have been charged with committing a crime, and the Pervomaysky District Court of Bishkek has decided to detain them pending further investigation. Investigative and operational measures are being taken to identify other individuals involved in the crime. According to some unconfirmed reports, one of the suspects is the brother of a member of the Jogorku Kenesh.
