In Jalal-Abad, a specialist from the city's water utility was arrested for impersonating an employee of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) and extorting money from a businessman. This was confirmed by the press center of the National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The fake GKNB employee was caught red-handed while receiving 20,000 soms. The individual extorted money from the businessman under the guise of addressing alleged violations at his exchange point. The case has been registered under the article 'Extortion' of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the detained person has been placed in the detention facility of the GKNB.
