Law enforcement officers have detained a 30-year-old man suspected of committing fraud on a particularly large scale with cars. This was reported by the press service of the Bishkek City Police Department.

It is specified that on April 23, 2024, a man approached the Police Department of the Pervomaysky District requesting measures to be taken against the owner of one of the car dealerships in the capital.

"On February 2, the owner of the car dealership promised to help sell a 2022 BMW X7 car worth $135,000. After that, he sold it to third parties and spent the $125,000 proceeds on his own needs," the statement said.

The incident was registered under the article "Fraud" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Operatives detained the suspect, who was then placed in the Temporary Detention Facility of the Bishkek City Police Department. Law enforcement officers also established the man's involvement in another case of fraud.

"30-year-old A.I. under the pretext of importing luxury cars from South Korea, took $121,500 from the man, after which he stopped communicating," added the police.
