In Chui region, a 29-year-old man was detained, and during the search of his car, a psychotropic narcotic substance worth 12 million soms was seized. This was reported by the press center of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic.
"The SCNS officers have thwarted the criminal activities of an international drug group. On the highway from Manas Airport to Bishkek, between the villages of Prigorodnoye and Dostuk, they detained 29-year-old K. Uulu A., who was found in possession of 2 kilograms of mephedrone. The market price for 1 gram of this substance is 6 thousand soms," the security officers noted.
The detainee was placed in pre-trial detention at the SCNS. The State Committee for National Security reminded that individuals from the age of 14 years old are held criminally responsible for such crimes, facing a sentence of 8 to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
