Tilek Matraimov released from custody. This was reported by the Osh City Court.

"The investigator of the State Committee for National Security in Osh and Osh region had his request granted by the court on April 26. The previously applied measure of detention against Tilek Matraimov has been changed to house arrest," the court noted.

Earlier, the State Committee for National Security informed about the detention of the four Matraimov brothers.

On March 25, in cooperation with Azerbaijani special services in Baku, the State Committee detained Raiymbek Matraimov, who was on the international wanted list. Along with him, his brothers Tilek, Ruslan, and Islambek were also detained.

On March 26, Raiymbek Matraimov was extradited to Bishkek from Baku. "It was found that he is associated with the members of a transnational criminal group from Azerbaijan who were detained in Kyrgyzstan, preparing an assassination attempt on the leadership of the Kyrgyz Republic," noted the State Committee for National Security.

Raiymbek Matraimov is facing criminal cases under Articles 169 "Illegal Deprivation of Liberty" and 222 "Money Laundering" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

On March 27, the Pervomaysky District Court of Bishkek remanded Raiymbek Matraimov in detention at the State Committee for National Security until April 26.

From 2015 to 2017, Raiymbek Matraimov held the position of deputy head of the State Customs Service. After a change of power in October 2020, he was accused of corruption at the customs. The total damage caused by Raiymbek Matraimov in just one criminal case amounted to 2 billion soms. He paid them off over two months, mostly in the form of property - a building and apartments. The former customs official admitted his guilt. The Pervomaysky District Court of Bishkek fined him 260,000 soms.

On January 26, the State Committee for National Security declared Raiymbek Matraimov wanted. It was reported that in the autumn, he could have left Kyrgyzstan for Turkey and then to Dubai.
