1,669 non-payers of alimony are currently wanted. This was reported by representatives of the judicial department during a meeting of the parliamentary faction "Alliance."
According to their data, in 2023, statements were sent to the Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding 696 persistent non-payers of alimony. By court order, 41 non-payers were assigned to community service, and 36 individuals were fined a total of 511,942 soms.
Department representatives explained that this form of punishment is not effective. The desired effect was achieved when non-payers were placed in temporary detention for 24 hours.
