Two individuals from Kyrgyzstan in St. Petersburg kidnapped and extorted 800 thousand rubles from a man. They have been detained. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Leningrad Region.
According to the information, four men extorted 800 thousand rubles from a foreigner, holding him in a taxi.
A 23-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan turned to the city police and told law enforcement officers the story of his abduction. After his account, a criminal case of robbery was initiated. The incident, according to the applicant, occurred around 17:00 on April 25 in the parking lot of the shopping center "Nord". There, four strangers attacked the victim and put him in a taxi.
The unknown individuals, armed with a knife and a gun, demanded 800 thousand rubles from the young man. The victim did not have such money, but he handed over 20 thousand rubles in cash to the extortionists and transferred another 40 thousand to their card. The criminals also decided to take the Uzbek man's mobile phone and drive him out of the city. They released the man only at night, dropping him off in the village of Novoselie in the Lomonosov district.
Two suspects have been detained. Both, as specified, came from Kyrgyzstan. Protocols for violating the stay regime in the Russian Federation were drawn up against the detainees and they were left in custody.
