Law enforcement agencies in Kyrgyzstan have shut down 27 underground drug laboratories over the past three years, as reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service.
According to the department, these laboratories were involved in the illegal production of drugs and psychotropic substances, with 12 of them manufacturing synthetic drugs and 15 producing cannabis-based drugs.
Since the beginning of 2024, three underground drug laboratories producing cannabis-based drugs have been uncovered.
As a result of shutting down these drug laboratories over the three years, a total of 1 ton 799 kilograms 944 grams of drugs, psychotropic substances, and precursors have been seized from illegal circulation.
In 2023, during one of the stages of the international anti-drug operation "Kanal" on the territory of the CSTO countries, 897 kilograms of heavy narcotics were confiscated.
