According to the regional Department of Internal Affairs, a resident of Kadamjai district, S.Y., born in 1983, contacted the police. He requested measures to be taken against a woman who gained his trust through deception and promised to send him and 47 other individuals from the district to high-paying jobs abroad. Each person was charged $1,400 for a visa by the fraudster, resulting in a total financial loss of approximately $66,800.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 209 "Fraud" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspect was apprehended on May 3 at the Ak-Zhol checkpoint while attempting to flee the country. She has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
Investigative actions are underway to identify the citizens who have suffered from the suspect's illegal activities.
