Materials related to the case of 11 current and former journalists of Temirov Live have been transferred to court. This was reported by the Pervomaisky District Court of the capital.
It is noted that the criminal case has been received by the court office and will soon be assigned to a judge through the automatic distribution of cases by the AIS system.
Earlier, lawyer Nursultan Zhanibek informed the publication "PolitKlinika" that the investigation of the case has been completed and the materials have been transferred to the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek.
On January 16, the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted a search in the office of Temirov Live, confiscating editorial equipment. The police searched homes and detained 11 current and former employees of the publication.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that as a result of a "judicial-linguistic examination" of the content on the pages of Temirov Live and "Ait Ait Dese" on social networks, a criminal case was initiated on December 30, 2023, under Article 278 "Incitement to Mass Disorders" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The individuals detained were Mahabat Tazhibek kyzy, Sapar Akunbekov, Azamat Ishenbekov, Saipidin Sultanaliyev, Aktilek Kaparov, Tynystan Asypbekov, Maksat Tazhibek uulu, Zhoodar Buzumov, Zhumabek Turdaliyev, Aike Beyshekeyeva, and Akyl Orozbekov.
All of them are former or current employees of Temirov Live. All 11 detained journalists were remanded in custody for two months until March 13.
Later, some of the detained journalists were released by the court under house arrest and a commitment not to leave.
