The labor law oversight service under the Ministry of Labor emphasizes that employers must compensate employees for harm caused while performing work duties. According to the Labor Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, employers are liable for injuries, occupational diseases, or other damages suffered by workers.
Employers are required to reimburse the affected employee for lost wages and cover additional expenses incurred due to work-related injuries. These additional expenses may include costs for extra meals, medications, prosthetics, care for the injured person, sanatorium treatment, transportation to medical facilities, purchase of special vehicles and fuel, as well as repairs of these vehicles.
The service highlighted that the employer's responsibility to comply with labor law requirements has been explained. If an employer refuses to compensate for harm, measures will be taken in accordance with the current legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
