Two suspects have been detained in connection with the rape of a 13-year-old girl in Sokuluk. The information was provided by the lawyer Aisuluu Ibraimova.
According to Ibraimova, after the Ombudsman's report on the incident, a face-to-face confrontation was held between the victim and the two boys. "As a result, two presumed suspects have been placed in the pre-trial detention center. The teenager's parents have also appealed the investigator's inaction to the prosecutor's office. Currently, the girl is in a very poor psychological state and is receiving assistance from the crisis center 'Sezim'," said Aisuluu Ibraimova.
The lawyer refuted the information from the Interior Ministry of the Chui region that the victim was 15 years old. She clarified that at the time of the rape, she was 13 years old, and now she is 14. The abuse took place from April 2023 to January 2024.
Aisuluu Ibraimova also added that the results of the appointed examinations are ready. The girl has also named another boy who raped her. The number of suspects has increased from nine to ten.
It is worth noting that on March 20, it was reported that the parents of the victim of the rape of a minor girl were received by the lawyer Jamila Jamanbaeva. They requested protection for their child's rights as law enforcement agencies were not taking measures to hold the culprits accountable. The parents stated that their 13-year-old daughter had been systematically raped by nine boys for almost a year.
