The city of Bishkek is set to unveil three new roads connecting Ahunbaeva Street and Jibek Jolu Avenue, according to the municipal press service. These roads will serve as alternatives to 7 April Street (formerly Alma-Atinskaya), Abdrahmanova Street, and Chingiz Aitmatov Avenue. The preparatory work on these sections has already commenced.
For instance, Karadarinskaya Street and Suymbayeva Street will be linked via a railway crossing, and the construction of a bridge over Shukurov Street with an exit to Mederova Street will begin. The bridge project has a width of 15 meters including sidewalks, has passed state expertise, and a bidding process is underway. Shukurov Street, a key district street, will connect Ahunbaeva Street and Mederova Street.
Earlier, the municipal authorities announced the start of preparatory work for the extension of Fuchik Street (from Tolstoy Street to Tovarnaya Street) and Bakaev Street (from Tolstoy Street to Bokonbaev Street). This development aims to enhance connectivity and ease traffic flow in the city.
The city's infrastructure expansion projects are part of ongoing efforts to improve transportation networks and enhance urban development in Bishkek. With these new roads and bridges, residents can look forward to smoother commutes and better access to different parts of the city.
