Nineteen educational facilities, including 11 schools and 8 kindergartens, have been affected by strong winds in Bishkek. The city mayor's office reported that most of the damage involved roofing, with instances of fallen trees in the vicinity of schools and kindergartens.
Authorities are working to remove the fallen trees, and a commission has been established to assess the extent of the damage. The commission will inspect all educational buildings in the capital to evaluate the quality of previous roof repairs.
Officials reminded that students are on vacation until April 1st, while kindergartens will continue to operate as usual.
