Teenager from Kyrgyzstan Awarded Medal for Saving Over 100 People in Moscow Concert Hall Attack

The Head of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia, Mufti Ravil Gainutdin, presented 15-year-old Islam Khalilov from Kyrgyzstan with the Muslim RF "For Merit" medal for his heroic actions during the terrorist attack at the "Crocus City Hall" in Moscow. The ceremony took place before the traditional Friday prayer in the men's prayer hall of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque.

Islam Khalilov, who was working in the cloakroom of the concert hall, managed to evacuate more than 100 people during the attack. He followed the emergency instructions given to all employees and took control of the evacuation, leading people out through a service entrance. The teenager's quick thinking and bravery saved numerous lives during the tragic event.

The terrorist attack occurred on March 22 at the "Crocus City Hall" near Moscow, where a music concert was taking place. Four individuals in camouflage attire entered the building without masks and started shooting at people at close range. A total of nine suspects have been arrested in connection with the attack.

Islam Khalilov's selfless and courageous actions in the face of danger have rightfully earned him recognition and gratitude, showcasing the importance of quick and decisive responses in times of crisis.
