The Karakol ski resort in the Issyk-Kul region welcomed around 200,000 visitors from mid-November 2023 to April 2024, marking a 20% increase in tourist numbers. The Ministry of Internal Affairs press service shared the positive outcome of the winter tourism season.
According to the data provided, the tourist police summarized the season's results, reporting only two cases of lost mobile phones among the visitors, which were successfully returned to their owners. To enhance the quality of service for tourists, a call center was set up at the Issyk-Kul region's police department to provide timely information on safe and comfortable leisure activities. The call center received 54 inquiries, mostly related to hotel locations and recreational routes.
The successful season at the Karakol ski resort not only attracted a significant number of tourists but also demonstrated effective measures in ensuring the safety and satisfaction of visitors. The low incidence of incidents and the swift resolution of issues reflect positively on the region's tourism infrastructure and services, promising a bright future for winter tourism in the Issyk-Kul region.
