According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, there have been 2,523 reported cases of domestic violence in the first two months of 2024. This marks a concerning trend that authorities are actively addressing.

In response to these incidents, law enforcement agencies have issued 2,247 temporary protection orders against individuals involved in domestic violence. Among them, 2,086 were women, 112 were men, and 49 were minors.

Additionally, the Unified Registry of Offenses under Article 70 (domestic violence) of the Code of Administrative Offenses has recorded 764 protocols. Out of these, 727 have been sent to court, leading to 204 individuals being assigned to community service and 396 being placed under arrest.

The government is taking concrete steps to address the issue of domestic violence, but more efforts are needed to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals affected by such crimes. It is crucial for society to stand together against domestic violence and provide support to those in need.
