In Bishkek, more than 2,500 police officers will be ensuring order at mosques during the festive Ait Namaz, as reported by the press service of the Bishkek City Police Department. According to their information, Jumabek Street will also be closed from Abdurakhmanova Street to Suinbaeva Street. Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance.
Police officers will be conducting checks on citizens on-site. It is prohibited to bring large items, sharp objects, flammable materials, explosives, various weapons, firecrackers, and fireworks into the mosque.
It is worth noting that Orozo Ait in Kyrgyzstan will be celebrated on April 10. By the decision of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, this year the festive Ait Namaz will be held in the mosques of the capital city instead of at the Old Square.
