President Sadyr Japarov met with the famous mountaineer and head of the Mountaineering Federation of Kyrgyzstan, Edward Kubatov, who conquered Everest. The president's press service reported the meeting.
During the meeting, President Japarov expressed his high appreciation for the success of domestic athletes who bring glory to the country. He emphasized the great attention given to the development of physical culture and sports in Kyrgyzstan. The state will continue to support athletes and create all necessary conditions for achieving high results.
Edward Kubatov thanked the president for the meeting and shared his participation in the prestigious and challenging "Crown of the Earth" program - climbing all 14 eight-thousanders in the world. He announced plans to start climbing the three most difficult peaks in the world - Lhotse, Makalu, and K2 from April to July 2024, without using supplemental oxygen in a "no oxygen" mode.
