Mayor Aybek Junushaliev has signed a decree approving the boundaries of Ataturk Park, as announced by the municipality's press service. The 107-hectare area is confirmed within the limits set by the resolution of the Bishkek City State Administration regarding the allocation of territories for the city parks and recreation areas management for maintenance and landscaping.
Within this decision, 43 hectares of land previously designated for construction are to be returned to the park. The Department for Municipal Property Management, Land Use Control, and the October Administration have been tasked with various responsibilities, including reclaiming park land, dismantling illegally constructed properties within the park, and recovering damages caused to the park from responsible parties.
Furthermore, the authorities have been instructed to submit relevant materials to the prosecutor's office for legal assessment and accountability of those involved in the allocation of land within the park's boundaries. The Bishkekglavarchitectura Municipal Enterprise has been directed to prepare necessary documentation for the park's proper use and to create a passport for the historical and cultural heritage site.
The October District Administration and communal services are required to undertake landscaping efforts to facilitate recreational spaces within the park. Once the procedures for returning municipal land to the city's ownership are completed, the park's territory will be granted to the Mayor's Department for Municipal Property Management for indefinite use for park maintenance and improvement purposes, as stated by the municipality.
