The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration has announced that five children aged 3 to 12 months, who were left without parental care, have been repatriated from Moscow. The initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in the Russian Federation.
Efforts are underway to facilitate the children's reunification with their biological families and to conduct a comprehensive assessment of their well-being, which includes social, medical, psychological, and legal assistance.
Since 2011, a total of 167 children who were orphaned have been brought back to Kyrgyzstan, including 8 in 2022, 12 in 2023, and 6 so far in 2024.
